Who We Are

Upsilon Pi Epsilon is the first and only international honor society dedicated to the computing and information disciplines. The Florida Beta Chapter at Florida Atlantic University strives to create opportunities for those interested and involved in these disciplines.


We were founded at Texas A&M University in 1967. In addition to being a service organization comprised of graduate and undergraduate students from Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Computer Information Systems departments.


In order to be considered for membership, undergraduate and graduate students must rank within the top 35% of their class. Undergraduate students must have completed at least 45 credit hours at their institution.


Our organization has received endorsements from the Association of Computing Machinery and the IEEE Computer Society.
